Lakitu Kings are enemies that resemble a standard Lakitu with a gold crown and gold stars on their cloud. When Bowser gets into a fight with a Flifit or a bunch of Flifits, the Lakitu King might appear on the top screen. If Bowser inhales it using his Vacuum ability, Mario and Luigi will be able to fight it. The Lakitu King will attack by throwing Spinies at the Mario Bros. They will also sometimes throw Coins for them to collect. If the Lakitu King throws the item overhand, it will be bounce of the ground and above the Mario Bros. If the Mario Bros. do not defeat the Lakitu King within a few turns, it will fly off, causing Bowser to cough it up, and fly away. A variant is the Glam Lakitu.
